Our Frequently Asked Questions

OZARK CUSTOM DOOR COMPANY IN NORTHWEST ARKANSAS

Lets Talk about your door

Here is a list of questions that we are commonly asked about our doors and the building and installation process. If you don’t see the question that you are looking for, reach out and a member of our team will get back to you as soon as possible!

Do your doors come pre finished?

Yes, our doors come pre-stained and finished. We apply four coats of premium grade UV marine varnish to ensure our doors are well protected from weather and UV rays.

Do your doors come with jambs?

Yes, our doors come with jambs, unless otherwise specified.  Often, we have customers that simply want to replace their current door without removing the jamb; we accommodate by building the door to an exact match in measurements so the new door will install quickly and easily.

How long will my door last?

With proper care, we expect our doors to last 40-50 years. We build doors in the same manner as doors made in the early 1900’s; many of those doors are still functioning today.

What type of attention will my door require?

Your door will require very little maintenance throughout its life. We advise customers to brush a coat of Spar Varnish onto their door every 5-7 years if their door gets direct sunlight at some point throughout the day.

How is my door shipped to me?

We use independent shippers to haul doors all over the country for us. Your door is well taken care of and will arrive at your home. The shippers are responsible for calling to set up appointments once they have a good ETA for delivery.

Do you offer privacy glass?

Yes, we have several options for privacy glass. Contact us to learn more about the different glass options we have available!

What type of wood do you use?

Typically, we build our doors out of 8/4” solid knotty alder wood. We also offer options in white oak and other varieties upon request.

How long does it take to get my door after I place an order?

Once an order is placed, our typical lead time varies between 12-16 weeks, but at times can be rushed.
